About the Role
This is a consultancy position with good prospects for permanent employment. Initially, you will be employed by Bravura, with the clear intention that Rolling Optics will offer you a direct employment contract in the future. This provides both you and Rolling Optics with a great opportunity to get to know each other and evaluate how well you fit together in a collaboration.
About the Company
Rolling Optics is a Swedish innovative technology company that has been developing and producing micro-optical films with 3D and motion effects since 2005. These films are used in banknotes, passports, ID documents, as well as security solutions and copy protection for well-known brands. The products are manufactured using patented technology and are used globally by leading players in the high-security industry, including integration into products in collaboration with Rolling Optics partners CCL Secure (AUS/UK) and Oberthur Fiduciaire (FR).
Rolling Optics currently has 24 employees, with the entire value chain gathered under one roof – from idea and design to development, marketing, sales, and production. This allows employees to gain a clear holistic understanding, receive quick feedback, and have good opportunities to influence the entire process. The operations, consisting of engineers, printers, developers, and technicians, are based in newly renovated and secure premises in Solna Strand.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Printer at Rolling Optics, you work with the manufacturing of micro-optical films – an advanced process where precision, accuracy, and technical interest are at the center. In this role, you are responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the manufacturing processes to ensure that products meet high quality standards. The work includes both production and process responsibility, as well as other tasks that contribute to the overall manufacturing chain. You will work full-time producing to order, performing development tests, carrying out service and maintenance on production equipment, and preparing manufactured materials for delivery.
Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Operating, monitoring, and adjusting production equipment for micro-optical printing
- Performing quality controls on products and printing tools
- Participating in process optimization and development of new materials and printing techniques
- Performing maintenance, service, and troubleshooting of processes and equipment
- Ensuring that manufacturing routines and recipes are followed
You will become an important part of a small, tight-knit production team where responsibility and team spirit are crucial for success. The work takes place close to production managers, technicians, and engineers to ensure every detail meets the highest standards.
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
- Technical high school education, preferably with a focus on printing, process technology, or equivalent post-secondary education
- Experience from the printing industry
- Strongly meritorious with experience working in a manufacturing environment, especially within Roll-to-Roll production
- Good computer skills and understanding of technical equipment
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
